Etching
Variable etching intensity
The Chemigraphics etching processes are carried out in continuous machinery
with an oscillating spray system, which can be adjusted by means of top and
bottom nozzles in order to achieve the exact etching intensity required.
CuCl (copper chloride)
The etching process is completed from roll to roll for flexible copper alloys -
at thicknesses of 10-40 micron and a maximum etching width of 600 mm.
FeCl (iron chloride)
The etching process for even plates of copper, steel, bronze, beryllium, mumetal,
German silver and similar alloys - at thicknesses ranging from 0.025 mm to 2.0 mm
and a maximum etching width of 600 mm.
Special tolerances
Etching tolerances for holes, lines and geometric details are described in detail
in data sheets available from Chemigraphics.
