Comprehensive range of design options

The development of silicone mats has created countless new possibilities for the design of keyboards. Individual colours can be cast directly into the mat, be spray-painted or sponge-printed. The durability of printed numbers and symbols is optimized by the use of various coatings. The surface can be finished in accordance with design requirements - either silk mat or glossy. The coating also increases the keyboard resistance to dirt and dust significantly. Background-lit keys and areas can be finished serigraphically with transparent colour or they can be laser-engraved in exactly the required contours.

Contact - in many ways

Contact elements, typically graphite pellets, are cast directly into the keys. However, it is often an added advantage to use the silicone keyboard on a membrane switch equipped with poly domes or gilt metal domes as contact elements.
