Thrane & Thrane is a leading developer and manufacturer of RF systems, which use satellite tracking, navigation and communication.

Requirements to the development of an antenna:

• Compact design
• Max. 15 cm high with a range of several kilometers
• High durability

The result is a tin-coated flexprint and because of the heat-resistance of the polyimide, solder-mounting can be carried out without any risk of melting the contact film. The conductive material on the antenna is copper, and considering the thickness of less than 35 µm, the antenna is as thin and supple as paper and can be folded and integrated directly into the antenna cone. Out of sight - but readily available.
