The police wishes to upgrade their communication equipment for the police motorcycles. The motorcycles are out in all weather, so safety and comfort are top priorities.

Requirements for the development of a keypad:

• A robust keypad that lights up in the dark
• Easy to operate with leather gloves on.
• 100% secure circuits and cable connections

The result is an integrated solution consisting of a panel with a silicone keypad, circuit board, back plate and cabling which is simple to install on a motorcycle. As an extra benefit, the solution is more compact than the previous standard box.
