Cable manufacturing with full ISO-certification
Integrating S-Pro A/S into Mekoprint’s manufacturing environment gives customers access to cable manufacturing to Mekoprint’s renowned high level of quality with ISO and UL certifications. Depending on the volume of any given order, customers also have access to manufacturing in Denmark, The Czech Republic or China.
Recently Mekoprint has bought the cable manufacturing company, S-Pro A/S, which is now fully integrated into Mekoprint’s manufacturing environment. This includes moving S-Pro A/S’ highly skilled workforce counting many years of manufacturing experience into the Mekoprint company.
The merge has been widely accepted of both S-Pro’s and Mekoprint’s customers throughout most of the Northeuropean market. Cable manufacturing is a new service within Mekoprint, and in contrast S-Pro’s manufacturing capabilities are now controlled by Mekoprint’s comprehensive quality-certification system including ISO9000, ISO14000 and ISO18000 certifications. It is furthermore possible to have the manufacturing done in Denmark, The Czech Republic or in China – depending on the most appropriate solution for every individual job.
The merger of Mekoprint’s and the former S-Pro’s services add synergies to customers of both cable systems and printed/etched/serigraphic products. Adding the large amount of skills from the employees form S-Pro is indeed an added value to Mekoprint – particularly within design issues like dimensions, connectors, strength, flexibility and optimized production. This complies with Mekoprint’s existing manufacturing services that include printed foils, keyboard solutions, mechanical solutions, EMI-shieldings and electronic components. Cable manufacturing adds a shortcut to an even higher level of product integration which in turn helps the customers to better designs, lower cost-of-manufacturing and a more rapid time-to-market.
The integrated manufacturing facility offers the customers the choice of production in the large manufacturing plant at Mekoprint in Denmark, or in low-cost countries in Eastern Europe or Asia. The choice can in every case be optimized to the customers’ individual needs depending on quantities and the complexity of the job in question.
The extended service level that Mekoprint now is able to offer will most certainly make the design process easier for the customers – but the quality control and –certification will also be absolutely industry-leading. Apart from the ISO-certifications already mentioned (9001, 14001 and OHSAS 18001), Mekoprint also offers UL-certification and manufacturing following the PAPP- and IPC-standards.
